REMEM project (Rebuilding megalithic memories) aimed to demonstrate the value of painting as a sensitive technique to identify construction and maintenance phases in European megaliths, once confirmed in a previous project its presence in French Brittany, the center par excellence of Art European megalithic. Determining the relationship of painting phases with their application on older stelae and menhirs in other parts of Europe and delving into pigment analysis systems were objectives to be met.
